1879 – The Bishop’s House, Portland Oregon

The Bishop\’s House stands out from most other Portland architecture with its Victorian Gothic details and its slim and tall dimensions. It is only 24 feet wide, but three stories tall.

It was originally the home of the Archdiocese in Portland, but he apparently didn\’t care for the neighborhood and moved elsewhere in 1880. I bet he\’s kicking himself now though, because the area is really making a comeback!
